So… I’ve been slacking

I’ve put this blog on a bit of a hiatus while I focus on other things in life. This post is just an update/explainer of what you can expect from this site going forward.

Here’s the deal:

Writing stuff is a time consuming and difficult task.

I’ve taken a break from writing posts here because I’ve just been stretched too thin on time.

I’m not sure that’s a situation that will resolve itself in short order, so I’ve decided to make things easier on myself by just posting whatever little I can muster, whenever I can find time to do so.

So, going forward, this blog will probably be filled with shorter articles; random plots of interesting bits of data I come across; snippets of code some people might find useful; and other random things I think are worthy of writing a short post about.

And in a somewhat unexpected twist since my earlier posts back in 2021, the world (and associated new technology) has shifted dramatically.

With the democratization of artificial intelligence (AI), it sometimes feels like “blog” content of this nature is about to go the way of the Dodo.

And while I’m actually quite optimistic about AI and the revolution coming with it, we’ll see how things pan out!

It’s not without risk(s).

“But anyway”, without getting too philosophical about it all, this post is just communicate that I’m going to use this blog format as a kind of “keepsake” of various things I’m interested in going forward.

If you enjoy content written by an actual human, and if you enjoy this blog, please feel free to stick around and tell your friends about it.

All the best,

Andrew
